Katia Lifshin: Light Journeys is on view through May 5th, 2024 at 54 Henry Street. This marks the artist’s first NYC solo show.

In this new body of work, Lifshin’s paintings blur the lines between reality and the subconscious, capturing a young woman in motion as she transcends earthly bounds amidst otherworldly landscapes. Wood motifs guide figures through vibrant landscapes of blue and green, with sharp contrasts and yellow tones that capture the interplay of light, darkness, and shifting emotional states.
